The Government looks set to approve new leave entitlements for people looking after sick children or relatives.
A proposed new 'work-life-balance' law will come before cabinet this week which would see workers given up to 5 days unpaid leave per year for family reasons.
Those with children under 12 or those caring for a relative would also have the right to request flexible or reduced working hours.
