The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is back in the city for its 46th year.

Around 100 thousand people will flock to the city, Douglas and Kinsale, to hear jazz right through the Bank Holiday weekend.

Around 500 artists including Gregory Porter and Bryan Jackson will perform across 90 venues.

Speaking to RedFM News, Chair of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival Fiona Collins says it's going to be a fantastic weekend:

"I am so looking forward to seeing so many amazing artists over the weekend, we have an amazing Blue Note artist tomorrow night in the Triskel, obviously Gregory Porter, De La Soul, there's gigs in The Everyman, The Metropole - home of the jazz. But there is so much happening it will be amazing, there will be jazz on the streets, the different music trails, all the different venues have music."
