Hazardous conditions are being reported across the country this morning after a significant freeze overnight.
An orange advisory for low temperatures and ice is in place for Cork until 10 o'clock this morning, while another orange alert will kick in at 6 o'clock this evening.
Some schools will remain closed across the county while transport services could face disruption.
Rebecca Cantwell from Met Eireann says roads will be treacherous today:
"We're expecting a lot of black ice around so we're urging people to slow down and take care, plan ahead and plan for extra time on your journey, and take it easy on the roads they can be treacherous."
