A Status Orange rainfall warning passed last night without causing significant flooding to property in Cork.
The Carrigrohane Straight, Lee Road, Cloghroe Road, Park Road in Mallow and the bridge in Fermoy are all closed due to flooding.
The R666 in Kilworth is also impassable between Ballyderown and Moorepark.
The R614 outside Glenville is also impassable due to a fallen tree.
However, Cork City Council has warned that river flooding is likely to continue for some hours, as conditions gradually ease.
David Joyce, Head of Operations with Cork City Council, says they're not out of the woods yet.
"The heavy rain and the high winds have eased, but there is more rainfall predicted for later today.
"There was an awful lot of water fell across the catchment yesterday and this needs to wash through the system today. So while the weather will be significantly more benign today than yesterday, there is an awful lot of water in the ground that is running off the sodden fields and into the rivers."
