Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange Wind warning for Cork valid from 5am to 10am tomorrow as Storm Aiden will reach mean speeds of up to 80km/hr with severe and damaging gusts up to 130km/hr
The heavy rain and strong winds expected to hit Cork over the Halloween weekend have led to warnings that parts of the city and county may experience some localised flooding
Some coastal flooding is also expected, due to the combination of low pressure, high tides and on shore winds with high seas predicted
Spells of heavy rain will lead to surface and river flooding with damaging gusts possible
Tomorrow morning's high tides pose the worst flooding risks with high tides at 4.30am in Bantry, 5.05am in Ballycotton and 5.15 in the city - property owners in low lying vulnerable areas are urged to take the usual precautions
The public are being urged to stay high, stay dry and stay back from the coast
Driving conditions may also be hazardous with surface flooding possible in places

In general, the public are being urged not to make any unnecessary journeys, tie down any loose items and stay indoors
