A young woman from Munster will make history today as she takes over the Taoiseach's office.
European Studies student Mairéad Butler is taking over an office which has never been held by a woman today as part of Plan Internationals, International Day of the Girl.
The 19 year old from Waterford is a member of Plan International's Youth Advisory Panel and will draw Micheal Martins attention to the many challenges still facing girls and young women in Ireland and around the world.
