Holidaymakers who are booked with Aer Lingus this summer are being urged not to panic
It’s feared flights may be cancelled as early as next week after pilots voted overwhelmingly for strike action in a row over pay
The Irish Travel Agents Association is urging Aer Lingus and the pilots' union to get back around the talks table to hammer out a resolution
Speaking to RedFM News ITAA President Angela Walsh says there is some anxiety amongst those booked with the airline however she believes the issue will be resolved
"We would urge people not to panic. There is a lot of time yet for negotiations to happen. If you look back, traditionally it shows that these do get resolved. So again we are confident and we're urging them to go back to the table. This is very important to find a solution because it will cause huge disruption, and anxiety to passengers"
