The number of people recorded as homeless in Cork has increased.
440 adults were recorded as homeless on Leeside in the last week of October, making Cork the county with the second highest number of recorded homeless people last month
The figures from the Department of Housing show that there were 534 homeless adults across Cork and Kerry accessing local authority managed emergency accommodation in the same week and 68 families recorded as homeless in the region
Calls have been made by homeless and housing charities for urgent action to be taken to reverse the rising trend of people facing homelessness in the region
