Homeowners across Cork with discoloured tap water are calling for water tankers and vouchers to be provided so they can access clean water
Up to 70 people attended a protest in Gurranabraher last night as they have been dealing with brown water in their water supply for nearly two years
Uisce Eireann says it’s working to resolve the issue by replacing old pipes which will take time.
Cllr Brian McCarthy, who attended last night's protest, says homeowners have had enough
"For the short term, we're calling for water tankers to be provided in effected communities, for vouchers for people to be able to get bottled water, and for filters to be provided to householders, that's to provide for the immediate needs of people in terms of clean water and sanitation. But in the long term, we need to be putting on the pressure for the system to be upgraded"
