Tens of thousands of ESB customers across the country are still without electricity with some unlikely to be reconnected for another week.
Most customers in Cork have been reconnected but around 50 homes and businesses in Mallow and 70 in Charleville are still without power.
Estimated restoration times are being posted on power-check-dot-ie.
Storm Darragh caused havoc across the weekend which saw emergency crews dealing with fallen trees and damaged homes as well cancelled flights.
Brian Tapley, Regional Manager with ESB Networks, says the network has been severely damaged:
"The difference between this Storm, Storm Darragh, and storm Ophelia is Storm Darragh impacted the entire country, whereas storm Ophelia was more localised. The damage is significant from, you know, gusts of greater than 140 kilometers an hour. So there's a significant work to repair that damage."
