The Centre in Sunday’s Well provides an ‘alternative learning environment’ to marginalised young people aged between 12 and 18.
In the summer hundreds of people signed a petition urging the Education Minister to fund the Cork Life Centre after talks between them and the Department of Education broke down over the issue of staff retention.
An agreement was reached in recent days in relation to provisions for the 2021/2022 academic year with the Education Department outlining how increased funding for staff is now being put in place.
