Irish Water has issued the Water Conservation Order for 30 supplies for four weeks, after a long spell of dry weather.
It's due to an increase in demand and below average rainfall - the areas affected will be places like Bantry, Castletownbere, Clonakilty and Skibbereen.
Irish Water spokesperson, Margaret Attridge says they need to keep supply for essential use in West Cork:
"As a result, water supplies across West Cork have become severely distressed. So it is essential that we put this water conservation order in place so that we can protect our supply for homes, businesses, schools and essential services such as the hospitals and fire service."
