Hotel bosses will appear before TDs and Senators later to respond to allegations of price gouging with hotel room rates.
The Oireachtas Tourism Committee is hosting a roundtable discussion with the Irish Hotels Federation, Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation.
It follows reports of people paying hundreds of euro for nights in hotels, especially when big sporting or music events are on.
