The HSE is advising that only urgent cases should attend Cork's 2 Emergency Departments.
The ED's at Cork University and the Mercy University Hospitals are experiencing very high levels of activity due to ongoing illness rates related to winter viruses.
The HSE is appealing to the public to consider all care options - including GPs, pharmacists and SouthDoc out-of-hours services.
