The vigil was organised to remember the two men who died during last Sunday’s Ironman event.
Brendan Wall and Ivan Chittenden died in separate incidents while taking part in the swimming leg of the race.
Crowds left candles and flowers in front of photos of the two men before a lone piper played a lament.
