Hundreds Have Turned Out In The City Centre For A Black Lives Matter Protest This Afternoon

It's the second protest of its kind in the city

It follows the death of George Floyd in the U.S which sparking riots, looting and protests.

Hundreds chanted 'No Peace, No Justice' in solidarity with the 46-year-old who died after being restrained by police officers.

Those in the crowd knelt for eight minutes 46 seconds, which is length of time a police officer was seen kneeling on George Floyd's neck.

Gardaí are in attendance at today's protests and demonstrators are wearing masks.
