The arrest was conducted by members of the Divisional Detective Unit based at Bandon Garda Station and the Armed Support Unit on foot of the warrant which was issued by the Hungarian authorities.
The warrant was issued for the 30-year-old man via the Schengen Information System
He appeared before the High Court on Wednesday and has since been remanded in custody until the 14th of February next
