The Irish Examiner reports the case will be up for mention again on the 10th of December.
The 63 year old with an address at The Prairie, Liscaha, Schull failed a roadside breath test on August 25th last year but later passed a second test at Bantry Garda Station.
The Irish Examiner reports Bantry District Court heard that a small tin of cannabis found on the former journalist after his arrest had been left for him at his market stall and that he told Gardaí he didn't know the name of the person who had left it there.
The court also heard that while Bailey told Gardaí they would not find any cannabis in his car, that they had in fact found three cannabis joints during a search the next morning.
