An infection outbreak at Bantry General Hospital has resulted in visiting being suspended with immediate effect.
Management at the hospital are advising that all visiting arrangements will be reviewed weekly.
Visiting on compassionate grounds will be allowed but must be arranged with the Nurse in Charge of the relevant ward.
Visitors must wear a surgical facemask which covers both the mouth and nose at all times while in the hospital.
