Cork City Partnership is calling on any women living in Cork City, who are considering getting back into the workforce to apply for its ‘Growing Your Potential’ programme.
The programme is free and aims to empower women to achiever their own economic independence.
The course is open to women who are currently not receiving a jobseeker payment, who may have been working in the home or caring for a relative, but now is contemplating a change.
The course takes place three mornings a week and consists of a two-hour online session each morning.
Course leader, Employment Support Worker Siobhan O’Neill says the feedback they have received from past participants has been extremely positive:
“We’ve had women tell us this is the best thing they’ve ever done - which is a real honour for myself and the team. This course is all about helping women who are more used to putting others first. As we head into the last couple of months of this year, this is their chance to start looking forward to a brighter future for their working lives”.
The course offers guidance and training in the areas of:
- Confidence building
- Networking
- CV Preparation and Interview Skills
- Career Coaching Sessions
- Personal Presentation for Interview & the Workplace
