An inquest into the deaths of Marie Downey and her baby son Darragh begins this morning after being adjourned in August.
The 36 year old who was living in Kildorrery in North Cork died at Cork University Maternity Hospital on the 25th of March 2019.
Four day old Darragh was found under his mother’s body and passed away the next day.
Cork City Coroners Court heard apologies from CUMH and consultant obstetrician Professor Keelin O’Donoghue at a previous sitting in August.
The inquest is expected to last three days.
