A Garda investigation has been launched following a stabbing incident in the city last night.
A man was rushed to hospital following the incident which occurred at an apartment on John Redmond Street shortly before 9pm.
The victim, who is in his late teens, is understood to have sustained multiple stab wounds.
He's being treated at Cork University Hospital for his injuries.
The scene has been preserved to allow for a forensic examination to be conducted.
No arrests have been made at this time, but Gardaí confirmed to RedFM News that enquiries are ongoing and have urged anyone with any information to contact Mayfield Garda Station 021-4558510.
