Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man was seriously assaulted in Mayfield last night.
The attack happened in Ballinderry Park at around 8:40pm.
Emergency Services rushed to the scene and a man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment for a cut to his head.
The man's condition is not known this morning and investigations are ongoing.
