Investigations are continuing after a Cork Garda was arrested by officers investigating false allegations made against other members of the force.
Gardai from the Tipperary Division arrested the man at his home yesterday morning.
The Garda in his late 20s was arrested at his home in county Cork early on Monday morning.
The man, who is a serving Garda in the city was taken to Cahir Garda station for questioning.
His arrest follows an investigation into the sending of anonymous letter containing false allegations of misbehaviours by a number of Gardaí in Cork.
It's believed the letters addressed to senior Gardai and GSOC were sent at the end of last year or start of this year- with up to half a dozen letters sent over the course of several months.
