Investigations are continuing into Sunday's road traffic collision in Youghal that left a Garda in a critical condition in Cork University Hospital.
The incident occurred shortly before 7pm on Sunday evening, when the officer pulled in on the N25 Youghal Bypass to assist a car that had broken down, when his unmarked patrol car was hit by another vehicle.
The Garda was rushed to CUH, his current condition is described as critical but stable.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with camera footage, including dashcam footage, that was travelling on the Youghal bypass between 6.30 and 7pm on Sunday to contact them at Midleton Garda station on 021 4621550 or any Garda station.
