Investigations are continuing after a man's body was discovered in Midleton yesterday.
A man in his 60's was pronounced dead after an incident at a house in Broomfield West shortly after 4pm.
A woman found at the property was taken to hospital.
Gardaí are investigating after emergency services were called to an apartment in the Broomfield West area on Monday afternoon.
They are treating the man's death as "unexplained" and say the post mortem results will assist Gardaí in determining the course of their investigations.
A woman was also treated at the scene before being taken to Cork University Hospital with no update on her condition.
The scene is currently preserved for a forensic examination and the local coroner has been notified.
