The State Examinations Commission will not be able to announce a date for results until numbers for June sittings are finalised.
Career Guidance Counsellor and Irish Times Education Columnist, Brian Mooney, says interest in grading from teachers is low:
"We are still actively looking for teachers who are going to be prepared to give up their summer to actually do this. And you know, the department- the state exams commission- they've increased the fees for Leaving Cert scripts between 17% and 50% and for the Junior Cert between 48% and 57%. But for some reason, the numbers who would traditionally in the past have come forward, haven't to date."
