Ireland’s first ever black female elected public representative will be speaking in the city this week - as part of a ‘More Women for Election in Cork’ event.
Meath County Councillor, Yemi Adenuga will speak about what women, thinking of running in next year's local elections, need to consider.
The free bespoke event, entitled ‘Women Belong’, will be at City Hall this Friday between between 2-5pm.
Cork City Council, in partnership with the 'Women for Election' project, is organising the event to encourage more women to get involved in politics.
