Around 80 lead pipes will be replaced with plastic pipes and will involve some short term water shut offs
The project team say customers will be given a minimum of 48 hours notice.
The works will be carried out in St. Patrick's Road, Friars Road, Father Matthew Road and Mount Pleasant Road.
Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works, with access for locals and emergency vehicles.
