Irish Water are set to complete a €21 million upgrade project in Bandon this month.
The works include replacing water mains and improving pressure and capacity in the drinking water network.
It comes after most of the works were completed last year, leaving a small part of the project deferred due to concerns regarding deep excavation on Market Quay and Oliver Plunkett street.
As a result, traffic management will be in place on Bridge Lane and St. Patrick's Quay from next week until mid October
