Irish Water crews are working on repairing a burst water main in Clonakilty.
Irish Water say they are hoping to restore the water as quickly as possible to customers.
Among the areas affected are Ardmore, Killavarrig, Lettercollum and Garranes. Residents in these areas may be experiencing reduced water pressure or an interruption to their supply.
The main is due to be repaired by 6pm this evening, however it can take two to three hours to refill the network following repair.
Speaking about the repair works Niall O'Riordan, Irish Water said: “The repairs in the Clonakilty area are being conducted as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to the community and restore water for all customers:
“We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate their patience as we work to repair the burst and return the water supply.”
