The issue of public transport in the city has been raised in the Dáil.
Bus Eireann has reduced its services on 5 routes while it recruits and trains drivers.
Speaking in the Dail, Cork TD Donnchadh O'Laoire called on the Taoiseach and Minister for Transport to address the serious crisis in public transport in Cork:
"We are constantly having reports our offices inundated by buses not turning up an hour and fifteen minutes late for services that are supposed to be every twenty minutes, even with the timetable being reduced because the busses couldn't meet what the NTA had set out still the last two weekends were seeing buses running late and people being isolated."
