It's hoped the Shakey Bridge will reopen next month after being closed for over a year.
In a post on Facebook, former Lord Mayor Cllr Tony Fitzgerald said some minor works would not be completed by the time the bridge reopens.
However a plan for completing the remaining lighting, painting, landscaping and electrical work will be decided on in the new year.
The bridge linking Sunday's Well to the Mardyke closed in August last year and was due to open in April, however that plan was delayed by the pandemic.
