The woman who pleaded guilty to causing the death by dangerous driving of her friend in Glanmire earlier this year has been jailed for four years
46-year-old Jennifer Thomas of Oakfield View, Glanmire, appeared before Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
50-year-old mother of two Sheila Dunne died two days after the crash close to her home in Glanmire on the 11th of February last.
The court heard Jennifer Thomas had consumed 12 alcoholic drinks over the course of the day of the crash and had said Sheila Dunne was driving before eventually admitting she had been driving.
