The "Joy In The Park" Festival is expected to attract thousands to FitzGerald's Park today.

The free event will feature live music, storytelling, children’s entertainment, workshops and wellness activities - as well as performances by Circus Factory and Cork Puppetry Company.

Musical guests include John Spillane, Cork Pops Ensemble, Jerry Fish, and Pontious Pilate & The Naildrivers..

It starts at moon and runs through until 6 this evening.

Parking on Mardyke Walk will be limited to residents and blue badge holders only, so the public is encouraged to use public transport or travel by foot.

Picnics are welcome but food and refreshments will be for sale in the park.
