The jury in the trial of Richard Satchwell have started their deliberations.
The seven women and five men were sent to the jury room at 3:05pm.
Mr Justice Paul McDermott told the jury three verdicts are open to them - guilty of murder, not guilty on the basis of self defence, and not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.
The judge said he will only accept a unanimous verdict and told the jury they can examine any of the materials included as evidence and can ask him any questions if needed.
He also told the jury they can indicate at what time they wish to finish their deliberations for the day.
58-year-old Richard Satchwell of Grattan Street, Youghal, County Cork has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Tina Satchwell at the same address in March 2017.
