Jury to begin deliberations in trial of Helen Jones

The jury are expected to begin deliberations today in the trial of Helen Jones who is accused of murdering her brother.

The 10 jurors have heard all the evidence in the trial of the 54 year old who is accused of murdering 52-year-old Paul Jones.

They must also consider their verdicts in respect of the woman’s then partner, who is also accused of murder.

Helen Jones of Cahergal Avenue, Mayfield pleaded not guilty to the charge of murdering her brother at his home on September 4 2019 on Bandon Road.

Her co-accused Keith O’Hara, aged 43, also of Cahergal Avenue, also pleaded not guilty to the same murder charge.
