It's around 106,000 passengers less than usual
1,600 passengers will arrive into Cork next week, with a further 3,200 due the following week.
It's going to be the quietest Christmas in the history of the airport, with the busiest day expected on December 23rd.
Speaking to RedFM News, Communications Manager at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane outlines where the passengers will be coming from:
'13,000 people are due to travel to Cork airport this Christmas compared to almost 119,000 people last year, about half of these passengers would be arrivals into Cork for the Christmas and New Year's season ahead. We've just five routes operating this Christmas London Heathrow with Aer Lingus Amsterdam with KLM and London Stansted and Gdansk with Ryanair. Those five routes compare with 32 routes that would have operated in December of 2019.'
