The Kabin kids are to be invited to City Hall after winning a national prize at the Pride of Place awards

The group won a ‘creative community’ award and have been issued the invitation from the City's Lord Mayor Cllr Dan Boyle to celebrate community work across Cork.

The other Pride of Place award winners and nominees have also been invited to the event

Pride of Place is an all-island competition that recognises improvements made by local communities to bolster civic pride in their area. Blackpool Youth Club, Brand Blarney, Cork LGBT Archive, Sexual Health Centre and the Kabin were all nominated.

A collaboration between the Kabin Crew and the Lisdoonvara Crew led to the release of "The Spark" this year which has over 2 billion views on social media and 52 million streams.
