The new elective hospital for Cork should be built on the northside of the city.
That's the view of the Labour Leader Alan Kelly as the location for the new hospital has yet to be revealed.
It's to be developed as part of Sláintecare and Alan Kelly believed it should be on the grounds of St Stephen's Hospital in Sarsfield Court, Glanmire.
The Labour Leader told the Echo it would be accessible for Cork and just off the motorway for other people from across the country.
