Kinsale Community College has been given the go-ahead for a major new expansion.
The Department of Education has approved the details of a 13.6 million euro extension to the school, which among its plans include 15 new classrooms, 2 science labs, a music room and a new library.
The college is the third secondary school in West Cork in the past two months to receive funding for significant new projects after similar announcements for the Sacred Heart Secondary in Clonakilty and St Brogan's College in Bandon.
