It's hoped a new initiative being rolled out in a West Cork town will boost the local economy Leeside.

Kinsale Restaurant Week is in full swing for the second year in a row and this year traders are reporting an increase in footfall.

Restaurants involved in the project say they've been inundated with bookings and it's hoped the event will have a knock on effect for tourism in the county.

Speaking to RedFM New Ciaran Fitzgerald of the Blue Haven Hotel and Kinsale Good Food Circle says the success of the event is visible in the town and is cementing Kinsale's position on the food map in Ireland:
