Cork County Council are seeking new lifeguard recruits to cover relief hours ahead of the summer
The lifeguards will be on duty at 12 beaches across Cork on weekends in June, full time in July and August and the first two weekends of September.
The County Council say there is an urgent need for additional staff and they are currently looking to set up a supplementary panel of beach lifeguards to cover relief hours
