Uisce Éireann says customers in Bantry and surrounding areas could experience some water outages today following a lightning strike at two Water Treatment Plants in the area
Water services crews are progressing with repairs and are making every effort to limit the impact; however, there is the possibility that there may be a disruption to supply for customers, particularly those on higher parts of the network.
Customers may experience discolouration as a result of the low flows and levels at present.
Repair works are scheduled to be completed by this afternoon.
