Locals in Mallow are in shock after two women were killed in a crash yesterday.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a two car collision which happened on the N72 at Navigation Road at around quarter to 4 yesterday afternoon.
The drivers of both cars, a woman in her 60's and a woman in her 40's were pronounced dead at the scene while 2 young children were taken to hospital.
Local Fianna Fáil councillor Bernard Moynihan says there's a deep sense of sadness in the community,
"Yesterday evening as the word spread among the community, people were shocked at the news, my sympathies to the families, they are special people , well known people, hard working people, decent people especially across Western Duhallow and Boherbue"
