Locals in Midleton say they're disappointed the County Council's updated flood emergency plan is still incomplete 12 months after Storm Babet
Storm Babet caused millions of euro worth of damage in Midleton a year ago after 500 homes and 250 businesses were left under water
The town has spent the last 12 months rebuilding itself and calling for permanent flood relief measures to be put in place
Speaking to RedFM News, Caroline Leahy of Midleton Flood Action Group says it's tough on locals heading into another winter without an updated emergency plan
"Every time it rains, we're always worried, and I think it's just compounded by the level of ignorance that we're all in as to what happens the next time we've flooded. You know, I mean I appreciate Storm Babet was completely unpredictable and nobody could have expected it to be as severe as it was, but you know, I would like to think that we've all learned lessons from that now, and that we would be more prepared going into the next one. And the only way we can do that is to get the public on board"
