There are fresh concerns that the start date for the construction of the long anticipated Cork Event Centre could be missed.
Building the centre was supposed to get underway at the former Beamish & Crawford Brewery site at the end-of-the-year.
Today's Irish Examiner is reporting that inflation looks set to further delay construction, even though the sod was turned on the project six years ago.
Tuesday’s budget set a further 15-million euro aside for the Event Centre next year.
In total the state has committed 57-million euro the the South Main Street venue.
RedFM News has contacted the city council for comment.
