The Lord Mayor of Cork City is hosting an anti-war demonstration later today.
Cllr Colm Kelleher says the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is 'disgusting' and will be leading a demonstration at the gates of Bishop Lucey Park at midday.
The Lord Mayor will lay a wreath and tie a yellow ribbon to the gate of the park to symbolise the support of the people of Cork for the people of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian flag will also fly at the park and the Lord Mayor has invited members of the Ukrainian community in Cork to join him.
