The Money Advice and Budgeting Service in Cork says secondary school students worry about the cost of going to college.

MABS is meeting students in Cork this week to deliver workshops financial management as part of Global Money Week.

96% of the 15- to 17-year-olds surveyed believe it’s important to talk about finances.

Speaking to RedFM News, Ursula Collins from MABS in Cork says many of the students are already thinking about the financial cost of going to college:

"You're looking at circa €10,000 a year for a student to attend a college outside of Cork. If they were going to college in Galway or Limerick, they're looking at those additional costs on top of going to college along with all the associated living costs."
