The van was stolen from outside a store at Victoria Cross at around 6am this morning.
Millstreet Gardaí saw the van on the N72 and attempted to stop him, however the driver refused to stop.
The chase came to an end in Co Kerry when Gardaí stopped him near Rathmore and arrested him.
He was detained at Killarney Garda Station and is due to appear before Listowel District Court today.
